Welcome to St John's College Boat Club, Oxford
We are a fun and committed college boat club located in central Oxford.
Training takes place in Abingdon and on the Isis. We compete in both annual Oxford Bumps races as well as external regattas such as Wallingford Head and WEHORR. Rowers of all skill are welcome, from intensive daily training for first boats to 'beer boats', crews that just turn up and race. Contact us today to get involved!

2024 Michaelmas
Michaelmas Novice Regatta
Unfortunately, Tamesis Regatta (MNR) was cancelled this year due to uncooperative weather. While there was not enough notice for anyone to host an inter-college substitute event, the novices had a great time taking part in an internal Ergatta. Everyone put a great shift in, but congratulations to the winners, Jamie's team (Anna, Anya, Gabriel, & Alex)!
2024 Trinity
Summer VIIIs 2024
SJCBC continues to improve on the huge successes of last year; both W1 and M1 bumped up into divisions 1 & 2 respectively. Both bumped +3, as did M2. W2 rowed incredily well, keeping in division 4, going -2.

Head of the River 2024
Fresh out of training camp in Chester, SJCBC entered crews into this years Head of the River races. While the women's race was unfortunately scrapped due to the conditions, the men climbed a huge 58 places from their starting position.
